Observations from the Front Lines of Business and Innovation - Kindness Abounds

​We hope you are finishing up the first half of 2025 with a ton of momentum and are going to be able to enjoy some of the longer days and warm nights this summer.

Our weekly cadence of strategy and enterprise sales meetings affords us a unique window into the world, and we attempt to share our observations with you in an effort to increase our joint learnings of "what have we learned and what does it mean"?

What is the lead story for business right now?

• Work with the super-intelligent LLMs to increase your efficiency while keeping a close eye on the accuracy.
• Use the SILLMs to get as close to your customer as possible and learn about the problems they are still experiencing. 
• Expand your offerings to your customers in these problem areas without seeking to charge them more.
• Rinse & Repeat 
• The SILLLMs can be really helpful with this process for ideation and concept iteration. 

What else?

• The bigger the organization, the more they talk about using the new tools, but the less likely they are implementing them at this point.
• It seems like the roles people have at companies are quite rigid, almost like a bus route that can't change on its own.
• This can include really good jobs at solid companies, but the system was set up to run on the old technology systems of email, Slack, and Zoom meetings.
• New processes and paths can be considered like a virus to the system, and so THE BUS keeps going on its route, but there are fewer passengers.

Cable TV anyone??

What to do?

• If you are the CEO, use the summer to get wide and look at the entire org from a new vantage point - we can help with this :)
• If you are a senior manager, ask how the SILLM can enable your team and challenge your team to bring you new ideas.
• If you are an individual contributor, do not sleep on these tools; go through the pains of learning, as they are not going away.

Final Thought

With the nest pretty empty and Sara playing more Legends Tour events, we are all on lots of planes and trains moving around the country. 

What do I notice? 

Kindness, people being really kind to each other throughout airports, rental car shuttles, and hotel lobbies.

We all seem to be connected to devices that show us videos of crazy things, but in the normal day-to-day, people help each other all the time, and we hope you see it too.

It won't go viral, but kindness and courtesy are wonderful currencies for solid communities, so as we celebrate the 4th of July this Friday, we hope you get a chance to say:
