Standing at the edge of a new year, my hope and message for my friends is that: You can do IT, with IT being almost anything within reason, WHEN you stay as flexible as possible to collaborating with others, and importantly, the tools others are creating. Allocating time for learning new things can be a challenge while you are focused on paying the bills with the tools that are currently working. I get it, but the world isn't spending billions on computing power just so I can make a cool image like the one above. The old hammer and nail are going to be turning into a nail gun in thousands of commercial settings in the coming years, which is going to improve the financial statements of companies with strong competitive advantages and require the knowledge workers of the world to constantly adapt to the new tools. I will aim to share what examples of real progress have been achieved in my 8 Branches & Roots newsletter posts of 2026 and will always be curious what you are noticing as well. The wisdom of the crowd phenomenon could be very accretive in 2026, so let's keep hitting the share button. My good friend and sculptor Mario Chiodo likes to say that when you are creating, you are not destroying, so start small with some folk art, or turn some lyrics into a song, but keep adapting and keep building. Maybe Saturday Morning is your "What is new hour", maybe Sunday at 4pm? Whenever, try to carve out a little time. We leave you with our own compilation of my lyrics and Suno's musical chops for a fun song called "Try-Hard, The Sanders Way." We know you can do it! Drew
